This is Mosiah 15:5-7. I much enjoyed these verses this week.
5 And thus the flesh becoming subject to the Spirit, or the Son to the Father, being one God, suffereth temptation, and yieldeth not to the temptation, but suffereth himself to be mocked, and scourged, and cast out, and disowned by his people.
6 And after all this, after working many mighty miracles among the children of men, he shall be led, yea, even asIsaiah said, as a sheep before the shearer is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
7 Yea, even so he shall be led, crucified, and slain, the fleshbecoming subject even unto death, the will of the Son being swallowed up in the will of the Father.
It has been a bit of a rough week, but HEY we all have those and I am gonna be stronger from it. The Lord is with us in times trouble, never forget that.
We have a couple of new investigators that I will talk about later on. Hopefully things go well with them.
I do not demand, but I ask in all kindness and love that these people give me an update on their lives:
That is it.
Verse from the book of Enos:
4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.
What does "hungered" mean? STUDY IT AND FIGURE IT OUT. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE!
Enos is the best example of Prayer and how it should be in all of Scripture. (manuprat)
Life is good. We have one investigator with a baptismal date (Ai) and he is a cool guy.
O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous than they, will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?
2) Romans 8:18,26
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaningswhich cannot be uttered.
3) Moroni 7:6
For behold, God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or prayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing.
4) Jacob 6:5
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I beseech of you in words of soberness that ye would repent, and come with full purpose of heart, and cleave unto God as he cleaveth unto you. And while his arm of mercy is extended towards you in the light of the day, harden not your hearts.
5) Mosiah 5:8
And under this head ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made free. There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives.
6) Jacob 4:7,10
Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know that it is by his grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things.
Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
8) Alma 38:14
Do not say: O God, I thank thee that we are better than our brethren; but rather say: O Lord, forgive my unworthiness, and remember my brethren in mercy—yea, acknowledge your unworthiness before God at all times.
Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.
For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.
There you have it. I love it.
Christmas is great here. LOVES.
I love all of you as well. Have a Merry Christmas.
